Xyleme was founded in 2004 as a platform that offered multi-output publishing to many industries. Three years later, we decided to focus exclusively on the learning and development industry, and over the past decade we’ve released a line of products and solutions directly tailored to the specific needs of CLOs, learning managers, instructional designers, and their teams. Our LCMS platform focuses on efficient, mass-production of learning content, and makes updating and maintaining content simpler, creating the perfect solution for global enterprises. Greg has over 25 years of experience in starting and growing software companies in evolving markets. He has both created and run start-ups and large public companies, and is familiar with all aspects of business. Greg founded object-oriented tools leader Advanced Software Technologies, a number two player until it was acquired. He has implemented turnarounds as President of Xitec Software, Inc. and was the General Manager of Blue Phoenix. Greg has worked for Bell Laboratories, Lockheed Martin, and IBM, and he holds an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois and a B.S. in Business from the University of Colorado.
Gille’s’ wide-ranging background in finance includes 15 years as a corporate and investment banker in New York, Paris, and London. Prior to Xyleme, Gilles spent ten years as the financial executive of a venture-backed software company and was pivotal in raising funds in Europe and the US, as well as in developing the business. He managed the merger of the company with an international investment group, as well as its subsequent sale. Gilles is a graduate from the “Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris” (MBA program of Sciences Po) and majored in economics at the University of Bordeaux.
Leslie Farinella has over 15 years experience as a training strategy and design consultant, working with such organizations as GE, Citigroup, Johnson & Johnson, and Nielsen. With a background in engineering and an advanced degree in Curriculum and Instruction, she is able to help organizations re-imagine their learning content strategy to optimize learning efficiency through the use of innovative learning techniques and technologies. Leslie’s expertise in business process change management, information architecture and teaching strategy helps Xyleme customers succeed on their journeys to high performance learning content.
Ken has has been a salesman and team leader in the technology space for over 20 years. Ken’s experience includes leadership roles in enterprise software sales, SaaS offerings, and professional service companies. Clients range from the largest Fortune 50 enterprises to small mission-focused associations. Ken prefers working for agile companies, where he can lead a team of high performance sales people, but still take an active role in direct sales. Ken takes a client-first approach to everything he does, knowing that every client, no matter how big or small, has unique requirements to achieve success. Ken also advises several startups on sales and marketing. Ken has his BA from the University of Denver and is a former CPA.
Stuart has a rich background in the design, development, and implementation of training systems and performance support tools. Prior to Xyleme, Stuart was a Curriculum Design Manager at Amgen, a global biotechnology company. He also founded a consulting group at San Diego State University to create innovative new learning applications. Having spent most of his career at the intersection of technology and instructional design, he has personally developed training for numerous multi-national organizations and received a Master’s in Educational Technology from San Diego State University.
Trey has 20 years of experiences in all phases of implementing and delivering software. He served as the Chief Architect at Xyleme from 2012 to 2016. Trey has worked as an architect at the startup Acteea, a SaaS ecommerce analytic company, and senior engineer and architect for Sun Microsystems where he served as a team lead. Trey has planned releases and has expertise in SaaS ecommerce, software development tools, and satellite command and control applications. Trey is a graduate of University of Arkansas.
Jim has spent 25 years selling, building, and delivering software to Fortune 500 companies. Prior to Xyleme, Jim held senior leadership roles in software development organizations, responsible for project delivery and product releases. Jim worked as VP Presales and Project Delivery at Blue Phoenix Solutions, and directed product and release initiatives at companies including Embarcadero Technologies, Avid Technology, and Tektronix Broadcast/Media. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from MSOE.
