"Xyleme LCMS has saved Rare roughly 30% in expert and translation costs. It has also saved us money in customization, time, and content revisions."
Powerful assessment tools at your fingertips
Beyond certifications, assessments can be a powerful teaching tool and a crucial part of any blended learning strategy. Xyleme single-source LCMS tools provide a wide range of sophisticated assessment types that can leverage existing training content for instant and relevant remediation. So whether it's last minute test prep on a smart phone, or an end-of-lesson review during an eLearning course, Xyleme gives you the power to deliver knowledge when and where the learner requires it.
Create a broad range of interactive assessments
Built into the Xyleme LCMS project templates are a large variety of question types to assess end-user knowledge including: multiple choice, sequencing, fill-in-the-blank and video assessments. It is within these templates that you simply select your desired question types and output formats – without the need for design or programming work. For example, drag and drop course quiz questions into a printed student guide or prepare a full online assessment for certification following the completion of an eLearning course.
Provide multiple levels of remediation
Xyleme LCMS allows you to drag and drop remediation topics into assessments to assist learners when an incorrect response is submitted. By setting remediation, learners are provided with a pre-determined number of answer attempts. Each attempt has the ability to provide feedback, hints and finally, if required, automatic redirect to the course element covering that particular assessment topic.
Exam prep and certification
Xyleme LCMS provides assessment solutions for both online certification exams and printed exam outputs. For online certification, tests are configured with forward navigation only and a single question attempt with no hints or feedback allowed. Certification exam prep includes printed test guides and remediation-enabled question banks that can be exported to your LMS in the IMS Question and Test Interoperability specification (QTI) format.
