ComputerPREP Implements Xyleme Assemble-on-Demand

Xyleme Implementation Enables ComputerPREP to Expand Its Revenue Channels

San Diego - 6/30/05 - Xyleme ® Inc. today announced the successful implementation of Xyleme Assemble-on-Demand Publishing Solution at ComputerPREP, the content distribution division of Prosoft Learning Corporation (NASDAQ: POSO), enabling ComputerPREP to offer its customers customizable learning content through its CustomPREP Online product. "The implementation at ComputerPREP is a prime example of the value that Xyleme can offer learning organizations looking for ways to develop a 'single source' of content," said Terry McGee, Xyleme Vice President, Marketing. "With Xyleme, training organizations can create new revenue-generating services and significantly reduce the costs associated with content development. More importantly, Xyleme speeds the time-to-proficiency, making learners more productive, faster."

As a result of the successful application of Xyleme technology, ComputerPREP is expanding the implementation to include Xyleme Studio and Xyleme Content Migration Platform (CMP). Xyleme Studio is an XML authoring tool. Xyleme CMP allows organizations to convert content developed with authoring tools such as Microsoft Word to XML. With these products, ComputerPREP will simplify its entire content creation process.

"Transforming our learning content to XML allows us to manage modules or 'learning objects' that can be mixed, matched, and reused in multiple delivery formats and across multiple channels," commented Lindsay Miller, Prosoft Vice President, Operations and Chief Information Officer. "By combining individual learning objects, the content is easily customizable so that we can rapidly create unique courses to meet our customers' specifications. The project costs were quickly recovered by the additional revenues we realized."

Using Xyleme, ComputerPREP developed a repository of rich XML content that serves as the foundation for numerous information services. Xyleme converted ComputerPREP's existing learning content, initially developed in Microsoft Word, to XML using Xyleme Content Migration Platform. Transformed content is then stored in an open, yet structured format that allows for flexible reuse of individual content elements. Instructors who subscribe to ComputerPREP's CustomPREP Online product can now rapidly create highly customized training to expedite the delivery of the right content to academic and corporate customers in print format or via the Web.
