David has been both an investor and an executive in numerous technology companies, and he is currently on the board of Biodesix and Anark. David was the chairman of eMotion, a software for managing digital media, which resulted from the merger of Cinebase Software and PNI Ltd. He was previously the COO of Ardent Software, a leading provider of enterprise software for data management and data warehousing, formed by the merger of Vmark Software and Unidata, Inc. (where David was the founder and CEO). Ardent was subsequently acquired by Informix Software, and the combined company was sold to IBM for $1B.
Mark is one of the training industry’s leading technologists. He has an extensive track record of building successful technology companies, from early-stage private investment through IPO or acquisition. Prior to Xyleme, Mark was CEO of PRAJA, a leader in business activity monitoring that was successfully sold to TIBCO Software. Previously, Mark was President and COO of the ERP Vendor Interactive Group, and he was responsible for the global expansion that led to its IPO and subsequent sale. Mark is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Gille's wide-ranging background in finance, including 15 years as a corporate and investment banker in New York, Paris, and London. Prior to Xyleme, Gilles spent ten years as the financial executive of a venture-backed software company and was pivotal in raising funds in Europe and the US, as well as in developing the business. He managed the merger of the company with an international investment group, as well as its subsequent sale. Gilles is a graduate from the “Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris” (MBA program of Sciences Po) and majored in economics at the University of Bordeaux.
With international marketing experience spanning North America and EMEA, Dawn is responsible for the market strategy that has driven Xyleme’s rapid revenue growth. She is the author of the popular Dawn of Learning blog and has written numerous white papers and trade articles on the topics of next generation learning technologies, social learning, XML, and content reusability. Prior to Xyleme, Dawn worked for a number of start-ups, including the network mediation and billing vendor Narus Inc. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Greg has over 25 years of experience in starting and growing software companies in evolving markets. He has both created and run start-ups, as well as large public companies, and is familiar with all aspects of the business. Greg founded object-oriented tools leader Advanced Software Technologies, growing it into the number two player behind Rational Software before it was acquired. He has implemented turnarounds as President of Xitec Software, Inc. and was the General Manager of the public company BluePhoenix. Greg has worked for Bell Laboratories, Lockheed Martin, and IBM, and he holds an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois and a B.S. in Business from the University of Colorado.
Michael has made a career out of building successful sales organizations in both large, public companies and start-ups. Before joining Xyleme, Michael was the President & CEO of Timely Medical Innovations, a medical products company. In just five years the company tripled revenue and was then sold to TIDI Products. Prior to Timely Medical, Michael spent his entire career in the technology sector where his sales organizations drove rapid revenue growth. Michael was the Vice President of Sales at Silver Creek Systems, a company specializing in product data management, which was sold to Oracle Corporation. And Michael was previously the Vice President of Sales for Interactive Group, an ERP software supplier that achieved an IPO and was later acquired. Michael is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College.
Stuart brings to Xyleme a rich background in the design, development, and implementation of training systems and performance support tools. Prior to Xyleme, Stuart was a Curriculum Design Manager at Amgen, a global biotechnology company. He also founded a consulting group with Dr. Allison Rossett and Dr. Bob Hoffman at San Diego State University, bringing together faculty, professional staff, and talented graduate students to create innovative new learning applications. Having spent most of his career at the intersection of technology and instructional design, he has personally developed training for numerous multi-national organizations and received his Master's Degree in Educational Technology from San Diego State University.
